Special Pooja will take place at Milton Keynes Vihara Mindfulness Meditation Centre wishing you all a peaceful and prosperous New Year 2024 on Monday 01st January at 7AM – 11AM & 6PM. Centre will be opened whole day but monks will only available at those mentioned times. Please be on time. All are kindly invited to share blessings at the dawn of the New Year 2024!

A Message from Bhante Samitha Akurala,

Mindfulness (Calmness, Kindness and Wisdom) is the most powerful human strength. Cultivate it and enjoy the happiness, health, wealth and wellbeing in life here and now.

The ability to not to quick overreact or take things personally, keeps our mind clear and our heart at peace.

One such beautiful mind or heart is better than thousand beautiful faces.

While we light our homes and streets at this seasonal time of festivities, end of year and the dawn of Brand New Year, let us light our hearts and minds with gratitude, happiness (rejoicing together), patient, endurance and progress!

සතිමත්බව (ශාන්ත මනස, මෛත්‍රිය, කරුණාව, සහ ප්‍රඥාව) බලවත්ම මානව ශක්තියයි. එය දියුණු කරමින් මේ ජීවිතයේ සතුට, නීරෝගීකම, සෞභාග්‍ය, ධනවත්කම සහ සැපත අත්විදිමු.

ක්ෂිණිකව අධිප්‍රතික්‍රියා නොදැක්වීම සහ යම් දේවල් පුද්ගලිකව නොගැනීමට ඇති කුසලතාවය, අපේ මනසේ පැහැදිලිතාව සහ හදවතේ සාමය පවත්වා ගැනීමට හේතුවේ.

එබදු ලස්සන එක මනසක් හෝ හදවතක් දහසක් ලස්සන මුහුණු වලට වටිනාකමින් යුක්තය.

අපේ නිවහන් සහ වීථි ආලෝකමත් කරණ මේ උත්සව සමයේ, වර්ෂය අවසානයේ සහ නැවුම් වසරක ආරම්භයේ, කෘතඤ්ඤූතාවෙන්, කෘතවේදීතාවෙන්, පුණ්‍යානුමෝදනාවෙන්, ඉවසීමෙන්, අධිෂ්ඨානශීලීත්වයෙන් සහ ජයග්‍රහණයෙන් අපේ හදවත සහ මනසත් ආලෝකවත් කරගනිමු.

We all have been working hard in many aspects of life. Life is always challenging. Spiritual blessings are very helpful at these times of social and economic upheaval. 2023 has not been that bad but very fast moving. It has been a very successful year for the centre as we managed to do lots of good programmes.

The teachings on gratitude, compassion, contentment and mindfulness, we share and uphold have been very useful.

We are really impressed with the support for each other in our community. We all at the centre are very grateful to have you in our community and deeply appreciate your generous support all throughout, especially at the hardest time in the history to keep the centre going.

Thank you so much for all and that made many things possible in our community. May those be real blessings for you all to proceed into an amazing New Year 2024….

We have monks staying at the temple regularly now. If you wish to attend any services such regular dana, blessings, meditation and monthly donations, please let us know.

We have been continuing our programmes very successfully both online and onsite.

Best way to help by making a regular Standing Order Donation to the Centre and sponsoring the programmes we have. We are very grateful to all our devotees who make already regular standing orders.
