16.45     Welcome, Taking Refuges and the Five Precepts

17.00     A talk in English on the Significance of Kathina

17.20     Offering Kappa Rukkha, Vassana Vasika, The Kathina Robe and other requisites to the Sangha

17:40    Sermon in Sinhala

18:00    Performing the Vinaya Kamma to dedicate the Kathina Robe

18:20   Offering Atapirikara, Robes & Gift Donations to Monks

18:40   Chanting Paritta Seth Pirith Blessings by the Venerable Monks and Punyanumodana

19:00   End the programme

The traditional Kapparukkha (Wish Fulfilling Tree) will be placed in the shrining Room and the Kathina Robe will be available for stitching. Those who wish to place their donations on Kapruka (Wish-fulfilling tree) and topstitch the robe please let us know we can arrange it for you.
